Design

Design and Technology is the future and we want all our children to experience a curriculum that is relevant in our rapidly changing world.

We encourages children to become problem solvers who can think creatively within a defined purpose and with a tangible outcome. Through a variety of creative and practical activities, pupils are taught the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to engage in a process of designing and making.

We want to inspire the next generation: we want to give children the tools to think independently and innovatively. Our children will become capable citizens that take risks, are resourceful, innovative and enterprising.

High-quality Design and Technology education makes an essential contribution to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of the nation.

The Design and Technology curriculum is taught through out topics.

Cooking and Nutrition   Structure   Mechanism  Textiles  Electrical Systems with Mechanisms

Teacher assessment, work and quizzes are used to gain understanding. Knowledge and key vocabulary is revisited and built upon across lessons and topics.
