Welcome to Great Heath Academy
The Staff and Governors here at Great Heath Academy would like to join me in extending a very warm welcome to our school website.
We are extremely proud of our Academy, the strong and nurturing relationships we have with the pupils we teach, their families and the community that we serve.
We offer our pupils a curriculum that is broad and full of rich and meaningful learning experiences: a curriculum that promotes a love of learning and a curiosity about the world we live in.
It is a privilege to lead our dedicated team of staff who always keep our pupils at the heart of everything that we do – every pupil is celebrated and encouraged to be the best possible version of themselves.
There is a relentless drive, by all staff, to keep our learning environments happy, safe and purposeful. Our environments are rooted in mutual respect and allow each pupil to discover their own talents and grow in confidence and independence.
Our five ‘Great’ values (Growth, Resilience, Enthusiasm, Adaptability and Tolerance) underpin our work and we ensure that all pupils use these to become great citizens both now and in the future. We strongly believe that every child can and will achieve their full potential.
We are proud to be part of the Academy Transformation Trust (ATT) family. They too are committed to ensuring we deliver the highest possible standard of education for our pupils and ensure we prepare our children to lead successful lives.
We welcomed Ofsted in January 2024 and I’m delighted to share their findings; we are ‘a school where “great hopes” are achieved’, our ‘pupils are aspirational and ambitious for their future’, our ‘classrooms are calm and purposeful places to learn’ and our teachers are ‘ambitious for what pupils can achieve’.
What a wonderful place to be! It is a true privilege to lead Great Heath Academy and work with such wonderful staff and children every single day.
